There was actually a podcast on iTunes with Craig Owens and Mike Shea from Alternative Press magazine, and they talked about this song. A lot of people think he wrote it about breaking up with a girl, but it's actually about him wanting to quit and leave the band.

I think Chiodos was trying to portray that they've had a friendship or a relationship that they decided to walk away from. To me, it means a lot because I can relate to these lyrics PERFECTLY. It's like they're the theme for situations I seem to be getting myself into. Great song, definitely.
