    Sally is a man who own's the pigeon's. The pregnant girls' name is never revealed in the song and the other girls is Cyndi.

    This song is about a girl who loses her virginity, falls pregnant and then dies because she had a back alley abortion because it was illegal to have an abortion otherwise at the time... this song was written in 1993 and the line "some 21 years back" would suggest that it took place circa 1972

    It's about two friends who during their teen years experimented with love and sex. One got pregnant presumably before Row v. Wade and died from a back alley abortion.
