Beauty and the Beast Lyrics
-
One of Bowie's personal songs in the experimental progressive times of the 70's, trying to experience the mind's phycological outlook. Being influenced with certain drugs like coke that can alter your moods between love and hate, speaking personally from the addiction of ''angel dust'' use that can make you feel like the incredible hulk, where this false Ego[beast] in you the individual feels it's rising on the High Road to save or win this[imaginery] heavenly princess[beauty] for it's self. Then when coming down with your prize from the ''heavenly trip'' you've gone bad on your way back from the high, 'cause unfortunately this false Ego in the individual was ''raised'' by a compartmentalized mind trying to come out from a divided world with the newest[old] ideas and belief theories that many times were and are artificially conjured up for social and political entertainment to confuse our thoughts. This can alter your reality's consciousness of mind for control between the two opposites like God and devil, good and evil, darkness and light, night and day, etc,. Trying to understand yourself and place in between these two extremes can be developed unnaturally in your mind by bad programmed teaching and learning that becomes part of your personality[s] that is struggling to either come together like the yin and yang Taoist concept or to destroy it's opposite side if the false Ego surfaces to high that can take over your conscious mind to run from, or embrace it's need from the subconscious mind that you've been afraid to even acknowledge your own shadow. In a society that makes your mind run on fear from it, trying to keep up with the secular materialistic world that tags along with a unhealthy religion. This tug of war of the opposites always plays out as The Beauty And The Beast extremism on our individual mind and through personal relationships where the opposites struggles with evil creted that needs to be loved to unionize the soul[s] together, where Bowie is being ''thankful to God that Heaven left us on our feet''. This also can mean that he[Bowie] is greatfull that his mind came back together within his body from The HighRoad Trip.
