    The song Phenomenal was the first song released from the Southpaw Soundtrack. This song is in a similar fashion to two of Eminem's songs "Not Araid" and "Guts Over Fear" They're both motivational songs in which the fans of Marshall Mathers (Eminem) find inspiring and self-empowering (Stated in verse two). This song represents Billy Hope’s aka Jake Gyllenhaal struggle after his wife’s death and loss of his daughter to child services. Billy “The Great” Hope then embarks on a mission alongside trainer Titus “Tick” Will to reclaim his boxing titles and win back his daughter. The film Southpaw was inspired by Eminem’s struggle through his early rapping career. Originally in the title role, but after putting the film "Southpaw" on hold back in 2012 because originally Eminem was supposed to play the main part in the film. He decided instead to focus on his music, So, Jake Gyllenhaal joined in for the Film.
