You love him or her but loving this person comes with pain. You don't hold it against him or her (all is forgiven). There was some very good memories. The song is actually about loving yourself and having the strength to walk away from someone you love and/or in love with because they cannot love you the way you deserve to be loved yet walking away hurts like hell! It's easier walk away and be angry with someone who is really a Jerk. Its hard to walk away from someone who is overall a descent person who you love and like but whose flaws are too much to contend with. BITTERSWEET!
