Alone in this Bed Lyrics

Waking up without you, it doesn't feel right
To sleep with only memories is harder every night
And sometimes I think I can feel you
Breathing on my neck

Tonight, I'm reaching out to the stars
I think that he owes me a favor
It doesn't matter...

You're all wrong, this song was written for a close friend of the band, Embers Fade, who promoted the hell out of their music. It was rumored that Ashley HANLEY, yes, you read that right.................. was the girlfriend, soon to be wife, of a band member. After her death, the group changed their name from Embers Fade to Framing Hanley. She had a passion for photography, hence the Framing, and her last name, Hanley.

The person who commented above is close. But not quite there.
(Hanley would be a band mates not ex, but dead girlfriend soon to be wife)

Waking up without you, it doesn't feel right
To sleep with only memories is harder every night
And sometimes I think I can feel you
    Breathing on my neck
(He's missing her... he wants her back... the memories almost feel real)

Tonight, I'm reaching out to the stars
I think that he owes me a favor
It doesn't matter where you are
    I'll hold you again
(He is hoping that whatever God is out there... owes him for taking her in the first place... and hoping... wherever she is he could have her back)

I wish, I could hear your voice
Don't leave me alone in this bed
I wish, I could touch you once more
Don't leave me alone in this bed
    Not tonight, not tomorrow
(Just hoping that... wishing for the impossible.. not wanting her or maybe the memories of her to leave him)

I've got the feeling that this will never cease
Living in these pictures, it never comes with ease
I swear, if I could make this right
    You'd be back by now
(He could be blaming himself here... blaming his death on him.. or the fact he can't have her back)

Tonight, I'm screaming out to the stars
He knows he owes me a favor
It doesn't matter where you are
    You'll be mine again
(Just begging.. he wants her back and will do anything for this)

I wish, I could hear your voice
Don't leave me alone in this bed
I wish, I could touch you once more
Don't leave me alone in this bed
    (chorus)

What about the friends that we had?
We've been crazy not to go
Leave me in case and I'll
(not the correct lyrics... second title Capeside..)

I wish, I could hear your voice
Don't leave me alone in this bed
I wish, I could touch you once more
And don't leave me alone in this bed
    (chorus)

Don't leave me alone, don't leave me alone
Don't leave me alone in this bed
Don't leave me alone, don't leave me alone
Don't leave me alone in this bed
(this could be him... begging to those stars that could never bring her back)

Of course i could never know the true meaning as i did not write this song and is not in the writers shoes..
This is just what it means to me.
A very good song... that has a lot of meaning however you see it.

Its pretty self explainitory. Dude loves chick, chick leaves dude, dude is sad, dude wants her back.
    "Waking up without you
    It doesn't feel right
    To sleep with only memories
    It's harder every night
And sometimes I think I can feel you breathing on my neck"-Thats just all talking about how much he misses her.
"Tonight I'm reaching out to the stars
I think that he owes me a favor
It doesn't matter where you are
I'll hold you again"- This, he's asking God for another chance with her, he thinks he deserves it.
"I've got the feeling that this will never seize
    Living in these pictures
    It never comes with ease
I swear if I could make this right
You'd be back by now"- He's saying that he can see her and him in pictures they had together and he feels the pain of losing her when looking at them. and he says if it was up to him he would have her right now.

And then he says stuff about screaming out to the stars, and he thinks that god owes him this 2nd chance.

And then all these people think the lyric is "Leave me in case and I'll", but its not dumbass', its "Meet me in Capeside" hence the 2nd title of the song (Capeside).

Chorus is self explainitory all the way thru, and then he just keeps yelling dont leave me alone, he wants her back bad.

Overall an amazing song, love Framing Hanley! One of the best bands! Alone in this Bed(Capeside) is a great song and many people can relate to it.
    Thanks!
