   Ummm, hey guys it's Amy Jones. I have been gone from the bay area for quite some time but have recently moved back to Oakland. As of late some idiot has been stalking me and telling me that I am haushinka. Having been a long time friend of arica, haveing seen you guys perform a few times but never met any of you in person, I know that this is false. Just in case words spreads despite being untrue...    HERE is the truth on HAUSHINKA, I am her father. She is American, she is my first born daughter that I named. It is word based on a Northern California American Indian name. "Little Deer". She met and briefly dated one of the members of Green Bay band many years ago. We are not of Japanese ancestry nor ever lived in Japan. Sorry to dispel the urban myth, but still, she is often rather a mythical young women to many people she meet on her life's journey's.

   Along with the previous statement, Haushinka was written waaaaayy before Whatsername. Before 1992 (It was for Kerplunk, then Dookie, and finally Nimrod.)

   @ anonymous... i dont think so because whatsername seems like a girl he kinda knew a bit better... haushinka is this awesome girl he probably met on tour in japan, so he wouldnt of got to spend alot of time getting to know her, it would of probably just been a fling.... though as soon as he'd gone his seperate way he realised he had feelings for her or somethin like that, but knew he wouldnt be able to find her or tell her because its too late

   Haushinka is the name of a Japanese girl that Billie Joe met while he was in Japan on the "eve of my birthday". I think he had to leave so soon that he didn't get a chance to get to know her and regrets that.
