"from green to red our day passed by, we were waiting for a sign to tell us why are we dancing all alone"- we need to live life to the fullest, and enjoy those we love while they're here, because tomorrow, they could be gone...
they also use TV as an example of one of those things we waste out numbered days on "whats latest on the screen...i need to find something to blame for long lost time...."

Another thing present in the lyrics is that we may waste time looking for something, chasing a goal or something we think we need, and not enjoying what or who we have...

I think it's about Hollywood and how stupid people will do anything that the TV tells them to do. Also it means to take life in your own hands and living it while you can because life is short.
