J. Cole: Nobody's Perfect Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Nobody's Perfect Lyrics
-
When J.cole opened up with him talking about people who doubted him, people who thought he wasn't going to make it. later into the song he starts to talk about how he only slept or talked to girls who were very attractive. By the next verse he's talking about him arguing with someone he thinks he loves. How he doesn't get why they always argue. Then he tells us it's a girl who is younger than him, in college while it's been a while since he graduated college. Next it talks about how he doesn't trust women, saying that she said her body count was 4 or 5, he instantly denies this saying multiple 4 or 5 by 3. The hook is "Nobody's perfect, Nobody's perfect, but you're perfect for me". This song is about trying to get over someone's faults and to remember that we all have shortcomings but that's our reason to love them. They aren't perfect but they are perfect for you.
