    This song has so many meanings to me. To me its about the wise words of a mother to a son.
    "Oh, take your time... Don't live too fast,
    Troubles will come and they will pass.
    You'll find a woman, yea yea, you'll find love,
    And don't forget son,
    There is someone up above."
    this is the part that always gets me thinking. Ive had bad relationships, ive had bad family issues, ive had it all and lost it all. this is the part that gets me through the day. Dont try to rush your life, be the best you can and dont live too fast. you will find that person, but it takes patience. the first 2 lines i have tattooed on my as a reminder. "Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
    Follow your heart, lord, and nothing else.
    " this song gets me through the day, it can pick me up when im down, it can make my mind race, its one of those things in life that can completely change your attitude and view on life. Just be a simple man, dont lust, greed, or grudge, be the best you can be and the world will come to you.

    This is the first Skynyrd I ever heard sitting in the lounge with my dad, from that day I have been a fan of these guys, this song is about a mother who is trying to teach her son to humble and not to want for all the fancy things in life,hence the phrase"dont get your lust on a rich man's gold all that you need is in your soul" and just to be a the best he can be,and to be happy with what he has in life.Ronnie Van Zant was an awesome song writer equal to one of my other favourites Paul Rodgers, this is a beautiful song and will always be a classic.
