Song Released: 1950
Tennessee Waltz Lyrics
When an old friend I happened to see
I introduced her to my loved one and while they were dancin'
My friend stole my sweetheart from me
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz

This song was on my Dad’s record player while he was home in hospice. I played it over and over and listened to the word and all I could think of is how God was stealing my Dad from me. Not in a mean way, but a beautiful way. He is safe and happy. Albeit, I am sad as Dad waltzes off to heaven, but it made me hopeful.
