With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear Lyrics

True friends lie underneath,
these witty words I don't believe
I can't believe a damn thing they say, anymore
Lie! Liar you'll pay for your sins
Now! Liar I know all the places you've been

Forgiveness this taste all but poisons my...

The title is fairly obvious but I wanted to check that I was right/not alone with my thinking. “With ears to see" could mean that nowadays, you can interpret how someone looks by the way they speak and the things they say. No?
“With eyes to hear" could mean the same - well, the opposite, but yeah. You can tell how someone will speak or what they will say by the way they look and the way they carry themselves.
I'm probably wrong - I (99% of the time) am normally. Idk CD

my interpretation of the song was about his "friends" that lied to him. essentially this song is asking why his life sucks even though he is a good person. he doesn't want his friends to lie and backstab him anymore. it breaks his heart. hes been through loads of bs in his life and he doesn't need their lies.

I think that the album being titled this as well points a few finger. As Cupid, Angle of love blah blah, is told to be blind. Just as love is to be blind

Basically its talking about how somebody's "Friends" turned out to be backstabbers and that they might as well stop cause its all there ever gonna be is a low life liar. And even though there that the words still hurt him. "I'm falling over, and over again
From all the words that you have said
It's written on my heart for everyone to see
From the place I was, to the place I am, to the place I wanna be
For the mountains I've been climbing over and under and over"
he says he can get past it because hes done it before but it still hurts.
then basically he says you're not as good as you think you are. get over yourself.

This is basically about someone who may be bullied. It could fit a variation of situations, but in a nutshell, he is saying that someone is harassing him with words, very hurtful words, and that they should shut their mouths so he can heal. He is saying that their words are lies, and that he shouldn't believe them

The song title is pointing toward someone that doesn't have there facts straight and believe stuff they have heard, but not seen and what ever they have seen they have interpreted incorrect

Someone important lied to him and he's waiting for things to be how they used to
