I think it means that we are only alive for a little bit of this world and we spend most of the time fighting, and hating people. When we should really spend it by taking care of each other and not killing one another. Pretty soon the world will be full of hatred and our lives will no longer be OUR lives, they will be the governments or they will be our parents or our ancestors or someone else's.
