I think this song is about them being on a boat. But the lyrics are really complicated and really meaningful.
    "I'm On A Boat"

that line alone is very beautiful because it could be representing the troublesome journey of fighting against communism and how to take down the government.

The song sheds tears from my eyes for how beautiful it is.

Bravo Lonely Island and Bravo Mr. T-Pain

I think it is meant to mean that people don't look at life in full detail. "Take a good hard look at the moth*rf*ck*ng boat" is an example of how people never take time to really look at things.

All lyrics in the song relate to how either life is not fair or how no one pays attention.

It is also about rich people.

And about BEING ON A BOAT!

I think this song is about the boat itself. although the song dosnt talk much about the actual boat but just states the fact that they are on this boat.

it encourages us to imagine the boat and the physical properties which are connected with this boat. for example: what colour is it? what is it made of? what is the maximum weight limit? , etc.

but dont get me wrong this song also deals with many of society issues such as conformity, prejudice and intollerance. Expressed directly through the fact that they are on a boat. They are failing to conform to the usual expectations of society to: be in cars, be in busses or to be in trains.

The song was released early 2009 after the stock market crash of 2008 - it's totally an indictment of Wall Street and greed and the enormous chasm between extreme wealth and poverty especially in the U.S.

The American dream is reduced from the desire for a decent wage and housing and health care (none of which is that attainable in the U.S. anymore except for the wealthy elites) to an AFTERNOON TRIP ON A BOAT which is, of course, won as a prize in a cereal box!

Everyone knows the Dream is unobtainable, so the only thing left is playing the lottery, cereal box prizes, pale dreams of owning a yacht and living the high life!

And also, of course, it's a parody of the excessive lifestyle of rich & famous rappers!

    That's my interpretation, at least.
