I think this song is about a man who falls in love with a girl named Valleri which they start to date! One of the Monkees said that a girl named Valleri broke up with him, so I guess they meant for it to be a sad song! Am I right or wrong? Every single time I hear this song, I think of Valerie Bertinelli from "One Day At A Time", lol!
