The sun will rise, and we will try again.
Stay alive, stay alive, for me.
You will die, but now your life is free,
In what is sure
I will fear the night...

The song truce is about Tyler trying to convince the young (and old) audience that life is so worth living, and we die someday, so we should wait for that day instead of killing ourselves. He is begging the audience to stay alive for him because life is for the living and life is beautiful.

He is trying convince his frI end not to die, but tells him that we will all die one day. Also that when you die, you'll be free. Wake up every day and try again, go to bed fearing the night. It's an endless circle.

Pretty clear for me. You're trying to persuade your friend to stay alive, because you can't live without them. You tell them they can live with the knowledge that everyone dies at last.
