Chiquitita Lyrics

Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Chiquitita, tell me...

I think that Chiquitita is a consoling song. It is probably about a older female is talking to a younger one and helping her through a broken heart or a hard time through a relationship

It implies "Least", but literally means smallest or tiny one. It is a term of endearment (from a heart of compassion or empathy). Probably involves someone outside of a normal family, who would be "Most"). Possibly a stranger . . .

The song is about a young man just 18 who was involved in an accident with another person .It's a true story behind the song. Agnetha was the only member of Abba who met Chiquitita. They met in Canada in December of 1978. The description of the song is very close too what happened when they met. So touched then inspired by this true life drama that Abba wrote chiquitita
