This song is about a man and a women obviously. They could be a couple, but not necessarily. Possibly two people who are interested in each other. The man has been in love with the women for a while, she on the other hand has been sending him mixed signals, her feelings are unknown or misunderstood. He loves her, and she knows it. But she takes him on a roller coaster ride, and does not return his love in kind. He's been having a hard time getting over it, because she's leads him on then leaves him hanging once he comes back. He's looking for another kind of love, that leaps without a shove. In other words he wants to know what it feels like to be loved the way he loves her (Other side). For somebody to go after him, and be open about the way they feel. A mutual free flowing relationship
