Tomorrow Never Knows Lyrics

Turn off your mind, relax
and float down stream
It is not dying
It is not dying

Lay down all thought
Surrender to the void
It is shining
It is shining

That you may see
The meaning of within
It is being
It is being

That love is...

The Beatles injested LSD to explore their senses and reach a higher conscientious. Tomorrow Never Knows is explaining Lennon's interpretation of Eastern philosophy, I believe Budism/Sufism."Turn off your mind.. foat downstream

It is not dying" suggests it is OK Not to think which is further sugested in the following line "lay down all thought surrender to the void..it is shinning." He is stating that our thought patterns are dictated by something other than our natural/conscience state! If we turn off our thoughts and become conscience with the present, the Now and everything it holds..we become closer to God. Hence "It is shinning". "That you may know the meaning of within...It is Being" Lennon is saying not to live life, but let life live you. "That love is all and love is everyone...It is knowing." Brilliant! Lennon states here that all things in the universe come from one original source and when that is understood we realize everything in the universe has something in common. Everything is related. The universe once started as one, hence "love is all and love is everyone" the next phrase states "that ignorance and hate may mourn the dead..it is believing". Lennon is basically saying let the dead be dead and continue to live. "but listen to the color of your dreams...it is not living." He states here that our dreams, our ego if you will, is selfishness and in not real life.

The final phrase states that if you don't realize the preceding teachings, which have been around for thousands of years, and which very few apply and as a result we "play the game existence to the end...of the beginning. Good Luck!

    MY MOM LOVE DO COCAINE.

It is about John Lennon reading Timothy Leary's interpretation of the book of the dead.

The beliefs of this song is related to a lot of different beliefs, because all beliefs are rooted in an absolute truth. In other words, astral projection cold be a truth.

This song is about astral projection. So is ''I'm only sleeping''. Look up 'Float down stream' and 'astral projection' in google, then research on it and you'll see how clear it is what this song is about.

I read that John Lennon wrote this song while tripping on acid. He was recording himself while reading "Tibetan Book of the Dead" and he put this song together. The title came from a phrase Ringo had often used.
