Not About Angels Lyrics

We know full well there's just time
So is it wrong to toss this line?
If your heart was full of love
Could you give it up?

'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special

Don't give me up

I went through a break up and it's tough for me I have family issues plus my boyfriend breaking up with me for no reason. After my breakup I like to be alone and I put a smile just to keep my friends happy. It's to hard to think about he was caring and made sure that i was doing well.

To me this song is about how no one is perfect. The first time I saw The Fault in Our Stars, I was sobbing. And then I hear this song, and I start crying, then I see it's from TFOS, I start crying even harder. The Fault in Our Stars, is actually from Act 1, Scene 2 of Julius Caesar, in which the nobleman Cassius says to Brutus: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings." If you haven't read the book, or at LEAST seen the movie, you need to asap. Get a few tissues handy though.

Yo so I just thought, "how unfair is just our love, found somethin real thats out of touch" im sorry but I get some gay ass vibes from that, ex: lesbians that are in love but "cant be" because society says its wrong so "how unfair is just our love?" yeah nah fam, gay ass vibes.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

This is my solo song for competition and I believe it means that we don’t have a choice in who we want in our life. Some people are earth angels and they will come and go. They will be with us spiritually. They can see us but we can’t see them. Someone we love so much but for everyone it’s uncontrollable on if you do or don’t want to be in this world or in someone’s life. This song has so many meanings. The people we love make is special. Alive or not.

a loved one just died, it has been hard but i remember the song going how unfair its just our love and my reaction was ok so maybe he was supposed to be gone. Maybe he needed to be gone for something else to happen in life, maybe his stopped but ours continue. He will not give me up and i wont on him, i care so much about him and the one thing i . do want to remember is his smile, and he did come and go and make me special.

To me the song means there a always a time when a loved one passes and your going to have to let them go. Your loved one will always be there to help you along the way and make you who your are, you just wont when.
"Don't give me up" a lyric from the song. This is saying you don't want your loved one to ever leave and you don't want them to give up on you know matter the situation. We don't get to pick who comes and goes it all happens in a flash. And we all know once someone is gone there's no getting them back know matter how much you pray and how much you hope they wont come back, there's a reason they are gone. I've always thought when a loved one as passed it means that they have complete their purpose of being on this Earth, this means they had one job to do and they have done in weather the job is making someone feel loved and wanted, helping someone through rough time etc. God now needs them ( weather you believe in God you can still think of it as this) The song was put into the movie, The Fault In Our Stars because Gus had a purpose to make Hazel feel loved and wanted to help Hazel answer all the questions she had. And when Gus dies he is always going to be by Hazle but you wont know.
The song is amazing and it has so many different meanings I could go on forever. Enjoy life, things will get rough and it will feel like things are never going to get better, but it will we all go through things we don't want to. Stay hopeful and think of all the loved ones watching out for you.

This is my solo song this year and I absolutely love it . There might be another meaning but from what I know and what my dance teacher told me this is what I think. I heard that this is about death losing somebody you really love and saying that they will come and they would eventually have to go no matter what and they will make is who we are , special in our on way. That was why this song appeared in the fault in our stars which is amazing movie you should watch. He (my dance teacher) said that my solo will be about wanting something that you can get so stop thinking of something that you believe you can find or see but they're really not there imagination is just an invention of the mind not physically or verbly .
