Bob Dylan: Rainy Day Women Meaning
Song Released: 1966
Rainy Day Women Lyrics
They'll stone ya just a-like they said they would
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to go home
Then they'll stone ya when you're there all alone
But I would not feel so all...

Bob was singing about beautiful women that aroused him with their appearance. Something that happened when trying to be good, or when driving in his car or anywhere he might encounter a sexy beautiful woman. I would guess that they don't stone him as much any more though....

dylan said on 60 minutes that he sold his soul for music. when asked who he sold his soul to , he answered the big man upstairs. this was when he began singing his Christian songs. since day 1 dylan has quoted scripture verses in some of his songs. anyway rainy day womam #35 is about stoning , which was a way of punishment in the time Jesus walked the earth. it was punishment, dylan used it as a way of showing how many times people stoned him! first for going electric, then for becoming a Christian singer and writer, then they stoned him again for going back to non Christian songs. although he still mentions Jesus. Heaven and other religious references in his writings.if he sold his soul to the devil wouldn't the song be called Rainy Day Man #35? it's about not being able to please everyone all the time. people thought it was a druggie song when it first came out, but as our generation grew into manhood , we realized it was about life's problems that we face every day. so everybody will get stoned at some point in their lives. most of the world agrees dylan changed music since he began his professional career and that every song written was written because of the path he made, but complained that he was the only one being blamed for making career changes, while others were making the same changes without much notice! it really must be lonely at the top

Bob Dylan has admitted in a way that he's sold his soul to the devil. The devil is also known as the Rainman. When you are introduced to this lifestyle they let you have your pick of a room full of women who are heavily mind controlled. I would guess these women try to control the entertainer by introducing them to drugs. This I would guess is why so many entertainers have drug problems. They probably are real persistent in doing this as what I get from this song, trying to get you stoned all the time so you're more easily manipulated as an entertainer so you can make more money for those who control you.... This all came to me when watching a video on YouTube.
