"Why do I put up this fight, why do I still write"
He says that he might give up writing rhymes for a job. He sees no reason to keep putting himself through all the suffering and disappointment that hip-hop has brought to him.
"Sometimes it's hard enough just dealing with real life"
He had recently broken up with his girlfriend, moved back with his mom and been fired from a pizzeria. Meaning that dealing with “real life” issues is hard enough even without the pressure he is placing on himself to succeed in music.
"Sometimes I wanna jump on stage and just kill mics"
He wishes he was more famous and better at what he does.
