In part of the song he is saying "its probably brain damage" especially in the end of the song he repeats himself with different wording saying it like hes giving people excuses why he is so messed up. And most of the reason he feels this way i assume is from his mother and childhood bullies.

D'Angelo Bailey bullied Eminem when he was in elementary school. Eminem did in fact have a seizure and he was in a coma for 10 days! He had to relearn all of the basic things like eating, talking, walking and so on. You can learn more about it in the movie EMINEM AKA on netflix.com

Too truly understand this you must understand Marshall's childhood. But for those who don't a brief interpretation of this is Marshall who was bullied all-through school and was picked on by D'Angelo (a school bully), which one day confronted him in the boys toilet while Marshall was 'pissing' and beat him, wrapped Marshall's own hands around his own neck and started to choke him. He told him 'we shouldn't be' in other words, don't kill me. When Marshall got home he starting reading a comic book (Marshall loved his comics, if his Rapping dream didn't follow through he was going to be a comic book artist) and he went deaf and his left ear started to blead, his mother thought he was on drugs and beat him over the head with the remote control. What she didn't know was that he had a brain heme-rage.

The song is mainly about his troubles with D' Angelo Bailey.... also with his daily dose of being picked on by bullies on a daily bases. One incident was on a day that he was in the boys bathroom using the urinal when suddenly D'Angelo supposedly repeatedly smashed his skull into the object and then next rapped both of his hands around his neck and choked him. Some say the Marshall/Eminem begged for him not to kill him and that the only words say from Bailey were "Your dead"

This song is basically about his childhood in general... Maybe a little exaggerated but yeah! DeAngelo Bailey was his childhood bully, and if you know ANYTHING about Eminem, you know his mom used to abuse him in all ways; physically, mentally and emotionally.

Eminem actually got sued by D'angelo for this song claiming that he never really picked on him that much

First of all, let me just put it out there that I think emeinezm is an absolutely nifty-swell rapper. I made a new name for his rap songs that are really good, I call this "frenzy sweet" because it is so coolio. what was I talking about again? oh well...

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Ramone, you are either a complete moron, or you are joking.
The beginning of this song is a true story and the last part takes place only in Em's head. The first guy was right on.

It’s partly true, actually. It’s about a boy (D’Angelo Bailey) who beat him up so bad that he was in a coma for weeks. This also re-enacts the fantasy beating that Eminem wishes he could give D’Angelo back.
