A more tounge in cheek, lighthearted version of "White America".
Em is trying to say that his music influenced so
many kids to be exactly like him that you couldn't pick him out from
a crowd of his fans. Hence, "Im slim shady, yes I'm the real shady, all you other slim Shady's are just imitating so
won't the real slim shady please stand up, please stand up.

I hate how every song has to have a meaning. Everyone has to know what they were thinking when they wrote that song. Well, if you must know what it means, I will do my best at explaining.

It is about how in all of us there is a psychotic freak waiting to be unleashed. We all try to persuade it to stay hidden underneath. We just joke about it and feel a little greif. But Slim Shady has the balls to say it and spit it like no other can try to hit it. It is about how everybody is a little twisted. But he is the real twisted one and he is proud. He is no tgonna sugarcoat anything to anyone and he doesnt care what you think. We all have something like that in us.

I think that the song is sort of ironic. In some of Eminem's early interviews he talks about the struggles of being a white rapper in a "black" music industry. He is poking fun at the fact that now there are so many people trying to be like him, that it is hard to distinguish himself from others. While he used to be the one white rapper, now he can't be as easily identified.

I don’t think he talks about being imitated. It’s about how he is real, normal, authentic. There are a million people like me - I just give voice to them so I take the piss and say fuck the mainstream, which is just hype, calculated outrage or sugar coating. How dare they criticise and censor me. I am real they are not. In fact we are all a bit slim shady. We are real.
    I’m a psychiatrist btw

how he knows about all the people that copy him. he is saying that no one can be better then him and also people making fun of him and insaulting him. how he wants the people that cop him to stop.

Pretty obvious guys, just listen to the lyrics. Although in many of his songs Eminem uses metaphors and plays on words, this one is fairly straight forward.

I think it's about everyone imitating what he does and how he does it. Everyone's trying to copy everything he does, and he's just reminding himself and everyone else that he's the "real Slim Shady" "all you other and slim Shady's are just imitating".

I think this is about how everyone copies what he does and the music he makes. Everyones imitating him and he's pissed off that he couldn't get picked out of a crowd of people like him or something like that.
