    This song is about a girl who cheats on a guy, plain and simple.
    "theres a light on in chicago and I know I should be home. All the colors of the street signs that remind me of the pickup truck in front of your neighbors house."
    The guy is trying to ignore it but she keeps pestering him and hinting for a breakup ("boys like you are overrated").
    At the end, Pete sings it and it sounds pretty good: "with every breath I wish your body will be broken again" in other words, he will never forgive her.
