Sadly, but true I heard that came to be in this song about a all out young individual fan being raised in the city of Detroit, but unfortuantley got a little out of control in The High and escaped like a ''Billy'' The Goat that was tied up to a tree for to long to only wanna escape and getaway to see a Rock and Roll show in the city of Detroit to which he went ''off course'' on the road to be Trumped over by a old American man made truck.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Gene Simmons didn't write DRC. Paul Stanley and Bob Ezrin wrote the song.

As many have said before, it's about a KISS fan who died in a car accident on the way to their concert one night. It's an awesome thing for Simmons write a song dedicated to a fan. :')

This sadly describes a true story. Although dramatized in lyrics, the basis for the event actually happened. There is a story about it online from a Detroit newspaper. I can't recall the exact paper. I saw once a few years ago and how the family spoke about the song and what it meant to them. From what I understand (or remember) one of the guys in KISS actually met the family member. It could have been the band's management too. Not sure. But basically a true story. Kinda creepy if one thinks about it....

Dude it's about a person who is going to a concert and gets killed by a truck on the way there.

Not completely. It's about a musician who is going to a late-night gig and doesn't survive the trip.
