Did My Time Lyrics

Realized I can never win
Sometimes I feel like I have failed
Inside where do I begin
My mind is laughing at me
Tell me why am I to blame
Aren't we suppose to be the same
That's why I will never tame
This thing that's burning in me

I am...

he may be trying to say that the decisions and paths he's chose and took, have added up to be something that he wasn't expecting or couldnt handle (thus, he chose his path and couldnt last).
because he is reminded of the wrong desicions or paths, he starts believing he is a failure which brings the anger along with it.
he feels that there's no way to fix this problem because the anger has changed him to a point where it has become part of him.("thats why i will never tame this thing that's burning in me")
he feels betrayed because the anger has become a part of him that he cannot change and now enslaves him(somewhat like a "curse")
the main point of this song; He has tried and done his time either in life or with this problem.

I feel that this song is basically about Jonathan Davis feeling like he is a failure and he is just really angry because he has did his time. In other words, he has had enough. Enough of all the bullshit and how people put him down for his wrong doings.

Its actually about people who continually took advantage of Jon, and how he basically says "fuck off, I did my time". even those aren't actually lyrics, its just something I see as the song meaning.

This song is about how anything Jon does is always wrong to everyone.
