And suddenly tomorrow's moment washed away
'Cause I don't have a reason and you don't have the time
But we both keep on waiting for something we won't find
The light on the horizon was brighter...

"Final Masquerade"
My interpretation
Tearing me apart with words you wouldn't say.
- This may have two meanings. She is indirectly tearing him apart with things she may be keeping away from him, or her actions speak what her mouth can't, and that's affecting him.
And suddenly tomorrow's a moment washed away.
- They most likely planned a future together, but suddenly due to selfeshness of both parties, it vanished.
'Cause I don't have a reason, and you don't have the time,
- He probably puts the excuse that he doesn't have a reason to tell her, or spend time with her, or whatever the problem is, and she puts the excuse that she doesn't have the time.
But we both keep on waiting for something we won't find.
- Even after all the problems, both keep on waiting for something they won't 'find' which is probably peace in the relationship, or the trust that both obviously lack.
The light on the horizon was brighter yesterday,
-Here you can say that they were better yesterday, in the past. For them it was much happier.
With shadows floating over, the scars begin to fade.
- This may be saying that in the past, everything was going smoothly. Neither needed to say what they needed to say. They were happy like that.
We said it was forever but then it slipped away.
-It's obvious that here it's trying to say that after all the 'forevers' it wasn't a forever after all.
Standing at the end of the final masquerade.
-First. Masquerade means to most a disguise, or something that covers the truth or even replace it, a mask. So they stand at their final masquerade, the masks they have on will fall off, or they will walk awat with them still on.
All I ever wanted, the secrets that you keep.
-She kept secrets, and obviously all he wanted was to know them as any other would. This really stressed him.
All you've ever wanted, the truth I couldn't speak.
-He also had some things behind his back, and maybe it was painful to say, and he just simply couldn't make himself say it.
'Cause I can't see forgiveness, and you can't see the crime,
-He probably can't see forgiveness in her when she opposes to say her secrets. To trust in him, maybe he can't forgive her. Maybe she can't see the bad in whatever he did, or maybe she is oblivious to what is happeneing in their relationship.
And we both keep on waiting for what we left behind.
- Maybe the relationship ended long ago, vut they still keep up with it, waiting to see if it would still work. Which obviously won't if they don't speak up already!
--So all in all. The song is about a relationship that though it was already broken, it just keeps on falling apart. Even though they see how broken it is, they keep nn waiting to see if it suddenly fixes itself. Also, sorry for my horrible English!

The real theme for the Final Masquerade was the story of humans in a post-apocalyptic world, which was ravaged by a disease. Humanity is trying hard to survive in the existing conditions.

I think that when they started this relationship they had a painful past and there were predicament in their lives. But they promised each other that they will forget their past and start a new life and they would not peep into their painful memories. That's why shadows were floating over and scars were healing. But the couldn't keep the promise. She wanted the truth out of him. And he wanted to know her secrets. So the pain returned and there's a misunderstanding in this relationship. So it ended upa tragedy. But they keep holding on to it hoping it would be alright. And masquerade represents something that is being exposed or screened. All the pains they were trying to hide has been exposed and it hurts them.
It's enough ain't it? Anyway i m juz a girl. And im usig mamas phn. Bye -

The song basically is about a relationship that's falling apart I could say they see that the spark is not there anymore but since maybe they loved each so much they keep waiting thinking maybe the spark that they had would suddenly come back and then there's. The final masquerade were the secrets they were trying to hide are all revealed

The long post below (Nov 2nd, 2014) seems to have it spot on, except for one line.
'Cause I can't see forgiveness, and you can't see the crime,
He can't see himself forgiving her. She can't see that she did anything wrong.
Just my opinion. -

We are masking event thinking later will be better, but the thing we are masking is a growing issue and will over take our ability to hide the issue and finally face the issue to come up with a plan.
