Motionless in White: Synthetic Love Meaning

Synthetic Love Lyrics

I want to hurt you, I don’t deserve you
Unlace your body, I want total control
Like maggots from the host, You drain, I decompose
Swallow your faith, submit and fuck until we overdose

We said this was “the last time”, over and over...

In the end the drug always gets the love from its host... cause it's always put first over the relationship. The drug is more important than anything or anyone

Lol it's about drug relationships. The drugs make everything feel more intense and the sex crazy, but none of it is actually real, it's manufactured. It also kills the relationship (and the people in it) eventually. Thus the imagery of decay throughout.

I know that given the members of the band who took part in coming up with this song it's talking about how much they've had their hearts broken and that's all that they feel now is a synthetic love. They don't know what it's like to really be in love anymore..
