Nickelback: Far Away Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Far Away Lyrics
Too long, too late
Who was I to make you wait?
Just one chance, just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know, you know, you know
I love you, I have loved you along
This song has such deep meaning for me. It was played at my wife's memorial service. I believe it speaks of never taking for granted what you have and the love you have. You can so easily let it slip away. It also speaks about losing that love and how much you want just one last chance to be with that person one more time to share the love you lost.

On my own words, this song is all about UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
No matter what hinders them, even distance can't take away the love for someone. it is also said that his love for the person is the one that makes him live.ü
He can give EVERYTHING just for the girl.

This is about loving someone but they never come around and no matter how hard you try, you can't stop loving them. You miss them and almost resent them for being away. But when they finally come around you fall in love with them all over again and you apologize and forgive them. You become happy because you are with the person that you want to be with.

It's an unrequited love.
When he says stop breathing, it's because he is almost pushed to the point of suicide.
And the end of the song he imagines her telling him to keep breathing, ...meaning for him not to to do it because she is not going anywhere again.
Everytime i hear this song it makes me think about someone that i love deeply, but he seems so far away not only in distance, but most importantly he seems far away because he will not give himself fully to me, and like the last verse, i finally tell him what i want him to say and that he loves me and that he realizes that he has had the right woman all along but didn’t even realize it
My interpretation of this song is that the one you love seems so far away because you love and want them so badly, but that person is somewhere else and not with you and so that’s what makes them seem that they’re so far away, not just in miles and location but emotionally. Finally in the last verse of the song, the singer stops saying that the one they live is somewhere else, reveals WHAT THEY WANT to hear the other say. it also means to me what the person whose interpretation appears above mine and that’s that the singer has the right one all along but they don’t see it

TBH I think this is about 2 people that truly love eachother but the guy hasn't realized to now that the love of his life has been there all along

The song is about the a past relationship with the love of his life who eventually died under unfortunate circumstances, and he mourns the fact of never having one last chance to give the relationship another try. Perhaps her life had not been cut short if they were still together and he never done something to cause the breakup. He is full of regret and longs for one last touch of his love who is forever gone and too far away beyond his reach. Its too late to make it right and to be forgiven.

This is my bf and Is non - official song and I think its about how much I missed him over the whole summer and and how happy we were to see each other at school. And the happiness when we first said I love you!

It means that no mater how far away someone could be physically mentally emotionally you will still love them.
I think this is about a guy that realises that he is in love, and has been in love all along. He realises that he would do anything for her. He will never leave her side and will stay with her though the good times and bad. He won't take what he has for granted anymore, because what he truly wants has been in front of him the whole time.

This song is about how you'll always love that certain someone no matter what. Through fights, and bad times, and how sometimes you can take for granted what you have. Sometimes it takes the threat of death to realize how much you truly love someone.
