Kurt did wanted to title the whole Album In Utero after the song title. He did not like people running like sheep in masses after some media supported celebrity consuming nonsense like those pictures painted of him. // But they still do run after that. As you can see. And: no he was not weak. He is one of the thoughest, hard working and talent developing artists of our time. If he was not - we would not know him. // Last not least: He might have made the mistake himself, that got him off and leave this life. But there's much evidence that he was not alone in the place where he was found. That's not theorie. That's racism by society, so called fans nowadays, and the corrupt american legal sytem, against Society Opposers like Kurt, that they have avoided to even investigate his death. Happy days people.    Actually this song was made sarcastically even though he did eventually kill himself because at the time hr started writing thus song Nirvana was barely starting to get it big

   it's a sarcastic title. Kurt even said it in interviews. He was gonna title In Utero "I Hate Myself and I Want To Die" but he was scared that many people wouldn't understand the sarcastic title.

   i think kurt was saying his feelings out loud at a time wen he did hate hiself.But we will never know what he meant only he knows. But he might have meant that he did hate hiself and wanted 2 kill hiself.

   Ironic and OTT or blatant seriousness masked as the former? You choose. Consider the time he wrote the song, or any song he wrote for that matter (Barre Unplugged as he'd already decided he was been serious and bled a eulogy/epilogue).
