    My interpretation of the song is that someone is in an abusive relationship. They don't realize that they are in an abusive relationship until they realize that they see how much they have hurt them and they decide to leave and they start to make new friends thus the line "At least I've got real friends," and the abuser realizes this and says that they will change and everything will be perfect but they victim doesn't want to be with them anymore.

    Vic has commented that this song was made because of a whole bunch of personal reasons but he would only share one reason. He said he always say huge bands treat their fans like trash, and he never wants pierce the veil to be like that bc they are where they are because of all of the fans' love and support.
