Body Like A Back Road Lyrics
First time I seen her walk by, man I 'bout fell off my chair
Had to get her number, it took me like six weeks
Now me and her go way back like Cadillac seats
Body like a back road,...

No it is what a person makes of it. Just because it says braids in her hair, doesn't mean it is about a black woman. But you do yo..even if it is uneducated.

Definitely about a women of color. He talks about a girl from the south side with braids in her hair.
He further describes her body black and curvy just like a black road.
Let that man live his life. Even though he has a girlfriend/wife. This could be a past memory..

Y'all are saying its a black woman and she is his girlfriend its not a black women and he is married to Hannah lee Flower this song is about he knows what and where everything is on her body not to be nasty but thats why it says that he compares it to roads bc roads have curves like he says she does

If this guy compared my body to a fucking road, I would roundhouse kick him in the face! Sam Hunt is killing country music, but it already sucks..

I think it's about a black woman.

His song is about his girlfriend and him how he know her so well not because of a black person.

I love this song. And yes, my impression is that it is about a black woman. It was what I first liked about it. I thought 'WOW!'. Thanks for the love Sam! The video (or lack thereof) furthered my conviction. If he had gone with a storyline video, it would NOT have remained #1 on the country charts. It makes me wonder what other are envisioning when they listen to the song.

Definitely about a black woman. That's why he said driving with my eyes closed, as to imply that he doesn't see color.

Right! You write a song about Keisha, and then say it's really about some chick named Hannah...Hannah! Hannah definitely "ain't" from the south side. We know the truth...lol.
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I thought the same thing about it being a black woman. It's actually about his girl, though. She's thick and wears braids. I don't know what ethnicity she is, though, maybe white?

Girl got braids, curves for miles, she black. And Sam Hunt never dated out of his race before so he's not comfortable bringing her around his friends so they stay out in the boondocks getting their grind on. No hate here, but girlfriend gonna get tired of being a secret so Sam better step up. And I'ma need Missy Elliot to remix this piece so I can dance to it in the club.

Sam Hunt is a dude with a crush on a beautiful young woman. He has some weird fantasies involving her. Totally not my life #singleforlife
