Giving Up on Me Lyrics

I used to make the light shine for you
The sun has left my sky
Velvet walls surround my sorrows
I've sacrificed my pride

Giving up on me (giving up on me)
You're giving up on me (giving up on me)
Giving up on me (giving up on me)
You're...

NO!!! This song is like about a guy who really loves this girl. Then the girl and guy go out and fall in love... But eventually the girl and guy face conflics, so the girl cheats... Then the guy feels like this...

In my opinion this song is about a guy who loves his girlfriend and is willing to do anything for her, while she cares but not so much. Then one day they both switch. he realizes that he's been doing to much for her and then she realizes she loves him. but he doesn't feel the same anymore. 'i never said i'd give it back.'
the chorus still remains the same though, but the person's point of view saying it changes.

Well I think this song is about a couple that has been together for a long time.but all of a sudden she leaves him and gives up on him.even though she always said she would be there with him "*through thick and thin"
