    I think it’s about a girl who struggles with her sexuality. “Michelle” represents women, and the singer is attracted to women, just ashamed of it. Like in the song “you are a monster from hell” is her temptation towards women, though she doesn’t want to be bi, lesbian, whatever it is, just doesn’t want to be attracted to women. It’s what lots of people go through if they don’t want to come out, especially if they or their parents are religious.

    I feel like its about the singer is in love with michelle but doesn't want to admit it. I also fell like their in a friends with benifits relationship but the singer is starting to develop feelings but knows Michelle is notbso it makes her angry and sad that michelle won't love her back

    I think "Michelle" is about Michelle being in love with the singer and the singer being confused about her feels for michelle and can't accept that shes a lesbian because she was brought up homophobic and by saying "you are a monster from hell" she means you are doing something against gods ways and therefore will be sent to hell for eternity. I think the song shows how hard it is to accept your sexuality especially for people who were brought up christian.

    I think the singer is Michelle. Michelle has a an affair with someone that she loves, but the lover does not love her back and is solely driven by lust and temptation. Therefore she is willing to do anything to make them stay. Even if it means letting have their way. But when Michelle admits her feelings the lover he gets uncomfortable and just wants her to go away, that he has a wife.However, Michelle just can't help but come back, it hurts so stay away from him, so the affair continues. Soon, people find out that the two had an affair. In response,The lover blamed Michelle on "seducing" him with her body after she knew he had a wife. and starts to call her "a monster from hell", including her now former lover. After awhile, Michelle Starts to call herself "a monster from hell" and even starts to believe it herself.....In short its a song about a girl who loves so much she'll do anything to beloved. and how people abuse that love.

    I always thought it was about this lesbian couple in a toxic relationship and the singer is just trying to keep herself from falling for her toxic partner (Michelle) but the singer fails and cries

    A bit against the grain here, after listening to this song a ton and how my own life has gone, I could see this being about loving a woman who is using you for attention and fighting those feelings. But I interpret it as competition. Maybe the singer and Michelle were friends and maybe there was a love triangle. Maybe when she’s stating “walk in the room, take off your coat, you look so nice, I’ve been so cold” maybe it’s about surviving an infidelity. Looking at your wayward partner, yearning for them to look at the singer as they look at Michelle, but also feeling disdain for the disloyalty and hurt. Maybe the singer was close to Michelle and it was a double-whammy of betrayal.
    “You know just how to be cruel when you shake your hips that way, paint your lips that way/I don’t care what you say” I see that as Michelle making efforts to steal the singers partner and denying it. Maybe coming around more dressed up, nicer make up on, making moves, etc. and I think the singers life may have been peaceful until Michelle ruined her life with deceit, making her a monster from hell.

    I think it's about falling for a straight girl. The singer can't help but feel all those things for michelle even though they know the affection will never be returned. Michelle will never see them the way they see her. Its not her fault but the singer blames her "you know just how to be cruel when you shake your hips that way" it could also be the first time that the singer feels that way for a woman and they don't want to accept that they're queer. Michelle is probably oblivious, treats the singer like a good friend. The singer is hurting because they know the love will never be mutual.

    i believe that it’s about a girl struggling with her sexuality. some people may argue against it but the song is directed to a person named ‘Michelle’. michelle may be the person she likes but she doesn’t want to admit it so she says ‘michelle, you are a monster from hell’.

    at first i thought it was abt rape yk cause the first 2 lyrics being "walk in the room take off your coat" i was thinking of michelle forcing the artist to take off (whatever prounoun they use) and the fourth lyric being "ive been so cold" but after reading everyones thoughts im starting to think its about being in a realationship with someone toxic or having a crush on someone toxic.

    I think it’s about a girl struggling with her sexuality and is certain she is straight. She can’t help but notice Michelle’s body when she doesn’t want to, making Michelle cruel for tempting the singer.“You know just how to be cruel when you shake your hips that way, paint your lips that way.”

    I think the singer sings about really liking Michelle but deny it. She doesn't like the feeling but she can't help but fall in love with Michelle so she blames her for "doing what she does" as an excuse to why she likes her. Also the lyrics "you are a monster from hell" might mean Michelle is getting in the way of something, like her relationship. Michelle is a distraction that the singer is helplessly seduced by.

    I think the person singing is confused because michelle is interested in a relationship with the singer but the singer is homophobic yet closeted. by saying " you are a monster from hell" she means your doing something that is against's gods ways and shes worried that if she feels what she feels then shes going to hell. The song really shows you how hard it is to except your sexuality especially if you were brought up christian.
