This is the time to remember

This song is about a couple at a crux in their relationship. They're been lovers, but have not yet committed to each other fully - neither have allowed themselves to be vulnerable. The protagonist wants to move forward with the relationship, but doesn't want to rush it. However, he senses that the current state of the relationship is a dead end, and not going to the next step will result in the end of the affair.
