   This song is about life transorming into one unbroken string of mundanity. We've all been there, the days just keep going one after the other with no significant change and it seems that life is passing by you.
   
   "While time just seems to slip away,
   I'm leaving no trace along the way." tells about exactly that. Time is simply slipping away, while you make no impact on life at all, be that your life or someone's else.
   
   "Seems like I'm falling deeper, deeper inside myself." tells us about one's acute awareness of their state and how this self-reflection can drown a person in sorrow and regret.
   
   "Along the path to decay." basically states that nothing will ever change in life and that this mundanity is just a road leading to your eventual demise, a path to decay if you will.
   
   "No cure for the lost, there's no ascending" implies that whoever is being sung about has left all hope of ever escaping from neverending meaningless existence.
   
   "When life could not become more pale,
   A new dawn is here, another day." can be interpreted in two very different ways.
   -The first way, I would call it "The hopeful
   option", is to say that this is about how
   everything is mendable. Yes, your life could
   have been going on like this for years on end,
   yet there is always a new dawn, when maybe, just
   maybe it'll all be turned around. This can be
   supported by a line further along in the track:
   "But a new dawn has yet to come." which also
   ties in with the idea of hopefulness.
   -The second way, however, is more grim. This
   might just be a sort of "mockery". As in, yeah,
   your life's miserable, But don't worry, the new
   dawn will deeeefinetely fix it bro, just trust
   me.
   
   So, on this rather somber note, I'm gonna stop cause god oh god have I written ten times more than I had expected.
