Disasterpiece Lyrics

Hold on to something.

I wanna slit your throat and fuck the wound
I wanna push my face in and feel the swoon
I wanna dig inside, find a little bit of me

Well, as soon as I heard this song - it reminded me of my life, in a sense... But the meaning of the song, to me, is dealing with life struggles and judgement of others. Sure it's Corey Taylors' lyrics, but they have alot of stereotypical meanings... and, THIS SONG IS BEAST ON DRUMS

Yea it actually is about a bully Corey was victimized by in his high school. In slipknots first 2 albums Corey pretty much bashes all the shit he did in the past. Vol. 3 and All hope is gone is when he gets into deeper meanings like god and love... That's why there is such a big difference because of 2 different meanings not because he can't scream anymore (not really relevant to the song but I saw that on a different song somebody was making fun of Corey's voice so yea I put it on this one)

This song is definitely about a bully. Corey said it himself that it was dedicated to someone who victimized him. Kinda relatable for many people

the intro is funny, idk what it means idk what any slipknot songs mean i just think it’s a funny band for funny people. but i like slipknot, i like their music, i just think it’s meant to be fun and that there’s not much meaning in their lyrics beyond sounding cool. which it does pretty well. however, XIX is a song that has real emotional meaning, and is honestly really sad. but disasterpiece is my favorite slipknot song

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

One thing we can all say is that in the first part of the song you can hear, that Corey releases a lot of anger and hate. In the next part he goes soft. And you can hear from the lyrics, that he see‘s no more need behind what he screamed before. Kinda like „I wonna slit your throat“ and then like „I think this is not what I‘m supposed to do“. And I think this song is about bullying

The song is about Corey's bullying experience and Corey letting all the anger out.

I think this song is about a childhood bully who just went too far and drove their victim mad. It is, in the end, quite a sad song. It shows what bullying can drive people to do. I am proud to be a Maggot, even though some people give me shit for it. Disasterpiece is my favorite 'Knot song so far.

    Stay sic, my fellow Maggots!

I think this great song talks about the relationship between god and the man.

The first lines that make me think this are:

"I wanna dig inside, find a little bit of me
Cuz the line gets crossed when you don't come clean"

I think he's saying that the person has died and god is judging him/her to decide if he/she will go to heaven or to hell. He's looking for something good in the person's soul, "a little bit oh Him", because if He doesn't find this, the lines will get crossed; the person will go to hell.

    Then we have:

"Youll never get out, coz you were never alive"

The person was never alive, he lived a bad life, he sinned, so now he's on hell, and will stay there forever.

"I am infinite, I am the infant finite"

God doesn't have limits, he's infinite, and the human is just his child, with no powers, is the infant finite.

"Come a little closer and Ill show you why"

It seems that God's challenging the person to prove this.

At the end of the song we have:

"Take a look - inside - my soul is missing"

The person is dead. His body is all that's left on Earth, his soul has gone to God's sake.

"All I have is dead, so Ill take you with me"

God's realm is made of souls, of dead people.

    My final confirmation is this:

"(DIE) is there another way to live?"

The only way to "live", to be in heaven, is dying.

"(LIVE) cause is the only way to die"

The only way to die is to live first.

I hope you'll think about it. I'm 14 and I'm from Argentina and this is just my interpretation.
