Gone Sovereign Lyrics

No one's laughing now.
No one's laughing now.

I'm sullen and sated, and you can't put a price on me.
I won't share this disarray,
I won't pull these hands away.
I need to be chosen, and my god don't pray for me.

So scatter all my ashes...

I saw this song as one that tells the story of someone who’s given a chance to make his own world, a place where only he/she can perfect and make it the best he can. But in the process, everyone gets into his/her skin and they burst out in anger, thus connecting it to the first line of the song “no one’s laughing now”. They go on a tirade left and right, ensuring their place on the throne.

I guess that’s how I see this song
