   I think it's about a lower middle class high school loser kid that nobody knows and everyone hates. The teenager in the song gets annoyed by people especially adults that complain too much and they just want to do their own thing and be themselves, even though everyone else thinks that their stupid or crazy and the kid gets made fun of but doesn't care, he or she won't conform to society's useless standards.

   it's a party anthem with a good beat, fairly simple lyrics that are catchy, easy to remember and fun to sing along when you're ready to rock out! if you read more into it than that, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you... having a Fat Lip or hell, even a black eye after a hard night of out of control excitement is what we call a Trophy, and the chicks dig it. and if you don't remember how you got it (likely slipped down your own stairs like a drunken fool) just tell them, "you should have seen the other guy" and let the girls' imaginations fill in the blanks.
   
   it's a right if passage for any human worth their ounce of life experiences. I pity anyone who says with pride, "I've never gotten drunk, blacked out, got in a fight, got knockout, got 86'd..." I shake my head and say, "you really missed out on what life is about. Maybe next time you'll figure it out."
