This song is about a Ronnie and he's saying he remembers when he was hoping for his dreams to come true::
i remember a year ago, I was standing in the crowd waiting for my chence to break through"
this means he remembers when his desire to be famous was just a dream like all the other people(the "crowd") -
Dreams coming true. He was a viewer and not he's the one being viewed.
-
"I remember a year ago I was standing in the crowd
waiting for my chance to break through, my chance to live again. Now it seems I've found some friends who finally understand what it takes to make this dream come true, we'll be here till the end. " This refers to before they were famous and just standing in the croud.
But overall this song is a tribute to the fans. "Oh, wish I could thank you all for what you have done
and all of the things that you have shared with me.
Oh, wish I could take you all to where I must go
wish I could take you all, I'll take you in my arms."
And by saying "I'm reaching out here to show you what we've been through I think there's something we can share, that's completely new or maybe I'm just insane, whao oh
Shake it, break it, get off your feet" They are asking you to stay with them and support them and listen to what they have to say because overall their lyrics have a lot of good messages within. -
This song is about mosh pits. To anyone who doesn't know, a mosh pit is the result of fans at a concert getting crazy to the point where everyone just starts fighting for fun. To prove my point:
"I remember a year ago, I was standing in the crowd."
There's the concert.
"waiting for my chance to break through, my chance to live again."
This is saying that he's waiting to start up the fighting so he can "live again."
"Now it seems I've found some friends who finally understand
what it takes to make this dream come true, we'll be here till the end."
Here it says that even though they just got through fighting, he's made a couple of new friends because they understand him.
"Shake it, break it, get off your feet,
come dance with me and don't you fake it.
Shake it, break it, get off your feet,
get close to me and don't you fake it."
Obviously, these lines describe the fight. "Don't you fake it," is saying that he wants the people he's fighting with to go all out.
"Shout and scream my friends, connect with me and we'll pretend
this night will never end (whao oh) this night will never end."
Shout and scream would be the music going on, since moshes usually break out at screamo concerts. "connect with me and we'll pretend this night will never end," is that they want the fighting and the fun to last forever.
"Just let go you'll see together we'll do anything
this night will never end (whao oh) this night will never end."
These lines probably describe someone who's afraid to fight, and the repeat of "this night will never end," is saying that he'd be bored without the fight and he's on the basis that time goes slower when you're bored.
Then there's a chorus repeat, and the bridge comes in.
"Oh, wish I could thank you all for what you have done
and all of the things that you have shared with me.
Oh, wish I could take you all to where I must go
wish I could take you all, I'll take you in my arms."
These lines happen at the end of the concert when they all have to leave and go back to living their separate lives. "Take you in my arms," is just friendly hugging not like boy/girl having sex hugging.
"Dance, get on the floor, shake, get on the floor, break, get on the floor"
Again, describing the fighting.
"I'm reaching out here to show you what we've been through
I think there's something we can share, that's completely new"
This is about getting people who are unfamiliar to mosh pits to see how much fun they can be even if it hurts and aches later.
"or maybe I'm just insane, whao oh
Shake it, break it, get off your feet."
These last two lines are showing how people just can't understand mosh pits and think the participants are crazy.
If I'm wrong, please feel free to let me know on here. The mosh pit idea is what I got from it so.... yeah...
