    This interpretation comes from me, as a believer of the relationship of Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie. If you don't believe, don't read. I have many reasons why I believe, though.


    "She was acting pretty, thought she owned the city
    Someone should have told her that pretty ain't a job"

    Ryan felt like he was the one who did all of the work for the band, while Brendon just sat there looking pretty. He thought that leaving might cause Brendon to notice how much work he did for their good.

    "Now she begs for money, no one calls her 'Honey'
    As she bothers shoppers in the parking lot"

    In this line, Ryan is comparing Brendon to a prostitute who grew up to be homeless. Before, Brendon wouldn't have to do work, but now that Ryan and Jon left, he noticed how much Ryan was actually doing. Ryan imagines that he now is incapable of doing the work, so resorts to begging.

    "Gets her karma with a catch
    Forget superstition by wearing it backwards
    Lives under ladders and sleeps with black cats"

    Brendon's laziness is coming back to bite him. He doesn't believe in superstition, so he is trying to prove karma is a lie.

    "Some people never change, they just stay the same way"

    This probably has to do with why the band split, or why Ryan and Brendon broke up. It could also mean that when Ryan and Jon left, Brendon and Spencer kept the same band names and kept some of the songs that the whole band wrote, which offended Ryan.

    "I swear like a sailor, love is not a favor
    I find it's just a concept that we live inside"

    Love isn't a gift, to Ryan. It's more of a concept that everyone has to be in love with another person.

    "And if you can agree with me and Mr. Twain
    In matters of opinion, our rivals are insane"

    Mr.Twain is possibly Jon Walker, the former bassist of Panic! at the Disco, who left the band with Ryan. They think that their rivals, Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith, are insane (Why they left? I know they had different musical interests, but there may be more).

    *This song is about a hooker who always flirted with people and thought she owned the city. She could hook up with someone and that's how she gets money.

    "someone should have told her pretty ain't a job"
    *her "job" is being a hooker but what Ryan Ross is saying that someone should have told her that pretty is NOT a job so she'll know.

    "now she begs for money, no one calls her honey, as she bothers shoppers in the parking lot"
    *now she is a hobo/homeless person because her so-called "job" didn't last. She bothers people in parking lots asking for money.

    SO the whole entire point is that there was a hooker who thought she owned the city. And thought pretty was her job. when she grew up(no one wants to hook up with her) she is homeless and begging for money. She had the chance to change her job while she was still young but she didn't, thinking her job would last. However, she is a 42 year old lady living under ladders and sleeping with black cats. She never changed
