I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For Lyrics
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you, you, you...
I have run
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't...

Tried to support his beliefs? You are without doubt ignorant of what U2 stands for. BONO is a freeking CHRISTIAN! Are you kidding me? This entire song is ABOUT getting to the top of material posession and still wanting more (God). It's not about disbelief in God at all. Your the one trying to comfort your beliefs.

This song is brilliant! It speaks of trying to fill the god shaped hole in your life with everything but God, because you doubt him! This song speaks to me especially, because up until recently, I have been struggling to form a really deep, lasting relationship with the lord. However, now I really have found what I'm looking for!

you really didn't interpret the song at all. basically, you just tried to support your beliefs. I think that U2 much like John Lennon are great advocates for people from the athiest position who still live good lives with a genuine love for humanity. "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" describes the narrator's (presumably Bono) overwhelming doubt of the existence of a Christian God. This truly is probably the most inspirational song of all time. If you are interested in debating this, I'm me. afmoose06. -
Plain and simple, the song is about doubt. And that is one of the things that Christianity is all about.

I think its basically about being commited to a religion but you don't find the answers you looking for

This song is definitely about searching for god, trying to find him, evidence of god. I think it’s about not being religious or not believing in god but wanting to, but you need that evidence or truth.
