I think that it's a pick me up song, like a pep talk you give to yourself to make you feel better. Take for example the first verse, it's almost like your convincing yourself it's better when something's wrong and you chose to be alone. Then it's like you telling yourself that there is no room in your life for anyone else and that it's better to be alone. This song, to me was written to convince the singer they're better off alone, even though they know themselves they might not be, so therefore they're writing to convince themselves they are.
