Alessia Cara: Scars To Your Beautiful Meaning
Song Released: 2016
Scars To Your Beautiful Lyrics
She goes unnoticed, she knows no limits
She craves attention, she praises an image
She prays to be sculpted by the sculptor
Oh, she don't see the light that's shining
Deeper than the eyes can find it

This song is to tell girls everywhere that you are one unique snowflake in the billions out there and you are beautiful, no matter what, inside and out. A few other things this songs mentions are that you don't need to starve yourself to be a certain weight. Also, you can cry. When it mentions cutting woes away, I believe this song is talking about self harm, that it's okay to cry; dont cut your beautiful body. Also, Alessia Cara struggles with a condition that involves hair loss and she would always be so self conscious. She knows what it's like to be in a world that expects you to be perfect.
I can only interpret this song as it applies to my experiences. I believe it is sending a message for young girls to love themselves regardless of what society sees as their "flaws". We all have flaws and that is what makes us beautiful. As we get older and experience life, which can take its toll, we develop scars on the inside and out. Don't be ashamed of these scars, because they are unique to us and shape who we are, which makes us uniquely beautiful. Our scars tell our story and that is something that should not be hidden or covered. You should be genuine and real, unlike a lot of women that are portrayed on TV and magazine covers who try to maintain the beauty of their youth that no longer exists.

It means you don't have to change. and scars to your beautiful means you don't have to starve yourself or change yourself to know your beautiful. when it says cover girl eat nothing it means she is starving herself to be skinny.

This is a beautiful song about a young woman who struggles with the dream of beauty. She wants to be the cover girl. But, as the artist says, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. The world has their own opinions. Do not listen to them. You are creative, smart, powerful, amazing, brave, and strong. Your REAL beauty comes from within. Just keep being you.

I struggle with self harm, as all stated in song, as a teen but you can't let flaws bring you down. My ex boyfriend hated me for it but this song came along at that time and really helped. Whenever my girlfriend sees me down she plays this. It really helps. Alessia, thank you. To all the girls or boys out there who feel that way, Alessia and me along with others give you our love and support. GET BETTER! WE LOVE YOU! And any scars on your body show the battles you've gone through and came out alive.

It means that you have to accept yourself. Embrace those flaws you've been trynna hide. You don't have to change yourself just to fit in this world, the world could change its heart ❤
Get up. Face the mirror and say I AM BEAUTIFUL. DON'T FORGET TO SMILE.
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Everyone feels like they aren't worth it sometimes. This song tells how some girls feel they need to starve themselves to be skinny (for beauty), cover up their faces with loads of makeup (for beauty), and show off their bodies to feel good (and guess what? for beauty!) But I will tell you right now if you think you have to take yourself and change it and make yourself something your not to be beautiful, you need to wake up. God made you beautiful and He don't make mistakes, people! No matter how bad you may feel about yourself and how much people judge you, you are beautiful! That is what this song is saying! "She craves attention" We all do sometimes. Don't change yourself to get it though. Use the gifts you were given by God to stand out. Beauty isn't skin deep. Beauty is on the inside. I honestly wish that beauty was only on the inside. The world would be better that way. This song basically says you are beautiful and wonderful and magnificent and unique just the way you are. Don't change yourself for anyone else.

its "your beautiful" your inner beauty, own your own beautiful. "no scars" means that even though we all have "scars" internally and externally, those scars cant touch your unique beauty. Thus.."no scars to your beautiful".

My daughter has horrible acne your song is so beautiful for people like her that suffer from other people staring and condemning for not being perfect. She is so beautiful inside and out and doesn't deserve any unfairness from others.
