   This song is about a relationship that went wrong whether it was a romantic relationship or a friendship( but probably romantic)
   
   In the first verse he states that they have put everything, all their love, attention, emotions and probably things they had to give up to be in a relationship like per say a friendship or a opportunity of a lifetime and he then starts questioning whether it was worth it or not
   
   He then explain that the break up started with hatred and how she torn him apart
   
   "Am I gonna save this " his not just wondering whether he can save the relationship but whether he wants to( afraid of going through the same pain again )
   
   "Pick up the pieces before you let this go" he's practically begging het to let him down slowly so he wouldn't get too badly wounded
   
   In the chorus he explains that they "faded out of the relationship as fast as they faded in, before he could blink they were in this relationship and next thing he knows it's over ( also preferring to the empty memories they filled their lives with)
   " the feelings gone it's like we're enemies" the fresh feeling of brand new love is gone and now they practically hate each other
   " Checking in checking out " they try to keep in touch but it's this constant on and of again conversations
   Even though it didn't work out he still feel they belong together and that he still loves strongly
   
   Second verse they both came together with broken heart, he states that he built a wall around his heart making sure no one can get to his heart but "a siren's call" his heart begging to feel love again calling to her (a cry for help to find love)and soon their feelings got so strong that they lost control of their emotions and actions which created an romantic relationship
   
   "So when this comes crashing and we are losing chances" the love they felt for each other is already gone so when their relationship comes to an end they wouldn't feel anything at all
   
   
   In the bridge he say that instead of living in this relationship they live a life of fighting to save the relationship and all the fights is making him numb
   
   
   "Cuase I'm losing my mind trying to make it alright" he is tired of fighting and trying to save the relationship ( he is giving up )
