A girl wants to save the relationship she has before it crashes.she compares her relationship to a car ride.she thinks they should go back but he keeps driving forward trying to dodge the problems they have to face and keep going whereas she wants to stop and fix them before they end up crashing(ending).

this song compares driving a car to working towards a relationship. a girl remembers when the couple was in "honeymoon avenue", basically the "honeymoon stage" of a relationship and how perfect it was. she can tell that the relationship is going downhill and asks her partner to save the relationship before they "crash" and are unable to make the relationship work.

This song is about a relationship ending before your eyes. but your wanting to save it . wanting to go back to the start of the relationship .when everything was good when you were on honeymoon avenue as in the start of the relationship, and she's holding on to the relationship not wanting it to end and she's willing to make a change so the relationship won't end as in die .when she saids" I'm ready to make that turn Before we both crash and burn Cause that could be the death of us, the death of us,...
