This song is primarily about entropy (or the gradual decay of the universe) and how, from the perspective that everything is slowly falling apart anyway, human issues become small and insignificant. Because there are other forces, beyond our control, that are changing the world as we know it, and our feeble attempts to bring about change with doctrines, political and social ideologies, and revolutions are nothing compared to the forces that we did not make and cannot stop, and to the inevitable things that are bound to happen.

***BTW, there's another site out there for interpreting Bad Religion, you might have to Google to find it but it's worth it, there are a lot of good insights.
Bad Religion's songs often have meanings that are highly relevant to the issues we face in today's world... So, you might want to check it out.***
