Hide Away Lyrics

I got a mind full of questions that just won't let me be. I am weary from the restless heart inside of me. I never cared about believing until I see I've lost my way and then my troubles all around me, and all that I can say see me through...

This song is about finding peace in Jesus during a rough time when life bogs you down and you need shelter.

It is likely a representation of his journey through faith, and his struggles with his faith. There are specific connections to religious themes, such as the devil and Jesus. As well as a connection to themes that are generally covered in christian songs such as the mention of a storm and looking for peace. The song draws an interesting Parallel to the story of Peter and Jesus, Peter is on a boat with some other disciples and it is describe as being stormy weather when he sees the spirit of Jesus calling to them out on the water. Peter does attempt to meet Jesus out on the water, walking himself on water, but the moment he looks away he begins to sink "when the water's rising"
