Billy Joel: Honesty Meaning
Song Released: 1979
Honesty Lyrics
it isn't hard to find.
You can have the love you need to live.
But if you look for truthfulness
You might just as well be blind.
It always seems to be so hard to give.
Honesty is such a lonely word.
Everyone...

Honesty is what everyone should be. Nowadays people only classify people as worth if they have a pretty face and is a good friend that can comfort you, according to the song. Honesty is very hard to find and the first-person view of the song is trying to find a friend. No one want someone worthless so it is eager to join those honest. Honesty is often never heard meaning those humans will often be alone and unpopular. While those humans are negligent of those people they often be blind since honesty is always hidden. Towards the end, it explains how those trustworthy friends will always be relied on to help you. The world doesn't care about honesty but only being pretty or having friends to mess around with. This song is very eager and well shown to explain the theme. Even though you are able to well explain this song, i just wanted to show my interpretation to you. :)

Honesty is important to the singer, especially to somebody who means so much to him. This song is needed to be able to touch a heart or somebody's heart. Because the singer said, he could easily find a lover or friend, but this one person he wants their honesty.

what`s meaning Quote"when im deep inside of me, dont be too concerned"
1. when im all alone, dont care about me.
2. when i heard inside of my voice that dont be involedwith him too much. -
I think he hasn't had people' be honest and that is what this song is about "if you search for tenderness " is what most people do
-
i really think the song speaks for itself. when you're in a relationship, what you want from your partner is honesty. Maybe billy has seen many couples whose relationship is built on lies, or his past relationships has lacked honesty.
